Hanne Krogh is a very beloved singer by the people in Norway.
She was born on 24'th January 1956 in Oslo, Norway, but grew up in Haugesund in the south-west of Norway and moved back to Oslo as a young girl.
15 years old Hanne made her debut in the Norwegian national final of Eurovision Song Contest and won with "Lykken er".
She has since then participated in the Eurovision Song Contest as an artist additional two times.
In 1991 she came on 17'th place with "Mrs. Thompson" as a member of the group
Just4Fun along with Eiríkur Hauksson, Jan Groth and Marianne Antonsen.
Two years after winning with Bobbysocks and "La det swinge" (Let it swing) Hanne participated in the Eurovision Song Contest as a song-writer along with Rolf Løvland.
Kate Gulbrandsen sang "Mitt liv" to a 9'th place.
In 1972 Hanne sang the Norwegian winning song, "Småting", and so did Grethe Kausland and Benny Borg who went to Scottland.
Seven years later Hanne competed in the Norwegian national final with the song "Når vi er barn" and became second.
Hanne, who's moreover is religious, has also made a big success on the white screen with the film "Crash" from 1974, but above all with the role as Sonja in "Reisen til Julestjernen" (1976).
The movie has become a real classic and is shown on Norwegian TV each Christmas Eve.
Hanne is despite all most known as a singer and has recorded several albums under a good half of three decennaries as an active artist.
Three Christmas-albums has been given out through the years, beyond "common" music.
Since the middle of the 1990's she has also been giving out several albums with children songs.
Hanne has her own production-company Hanne Krogh Productions AS (HKP) and music publisher HKP Music
and she's her own manager.
Beside the music she's a very popular ambassador for Norwegian Save the children.
Hanne Krogh Sundbø is married to former manager of Bobbysocks, Trygve Sundbø, and they have two children,
a son called Sverre (born in 1981) and a daughter called Amalie (born in 1993).
